Nea

Nea is a confident, intelligent, and strong-minded dog with a big personality. She knows what she wants, but she also has a wonderfully affectionate and playful side that becomes more visible as she gets to know and trust the people around her.

Since arriving at Hopeland, Nea has made significant progress. She responds particularly well to people who communicate clearly, calmly, and consistently and who give her a predictable structure. Once she knows and trusts someone, she can be incredibly sweet, affectionate, cooperative, and deeply loyal. Building this kind of relationship with Nea takes understanding and consistency, but the bond she forms with her people is truly special.

Nea is intelligent and obedient, walks very well on a leash, and absolutely loves going for walks. She enjoys being out and about and is always happy to spend time exploring with her people. She also has a playful side and can form positive relationships with other dogs when the match is right. At Hopeland, she has developed a lovely friendship with a younger neutered male, and the two of them enjoy playing together. However, Nea is selective about her canine companions and does not get along with every dog. She tends to do better with calm, non-dominant dogs and can have difficulties with adult females. For this reason, we believe she would be best suited as the only dog in her future home, where she can have the full attention of her people and enjoy a calm and predictable environment.

Before coming to Hopeland, Nea lived in a public shelter following a biting incident involving a person. Since arriving at Hopeland, Nea has continued to develop and has shown us how well she can respond to clear communication, appropriate boundaries, and people who understand her body language. She does best with confident and experienced handlers who can guide her calmly and responsibly without unnecessary pressure.

For Nea, we are looking for an adult-only home without children. Her future family should have experience with dogs and feel comfortable understanding canine communication, respecting her boundaries, and providing calm, consistent guidance. She is not the kind of dog who will simply fit into any environment, but with the right people and the right structure, she can be a wonderful companion.

Nea is approximately 55 cm tall and weighs around 30 kg.

An old fracture in her right front leg had already healed incorrectly before she received treatment. Surgery was performed in an attempt to improve the leg, but the prognosis for regaining normal function was limited from the beginning. Nea still cannot use the leg normally today. However, this does not stop her from enjoying life or from doing one of her favourite things: going for walks. She gets around well and doesn't let her physical limitation stand in the way of enjoying her time outdoors.

Nea is a very special dog who has come a long way. She may need a more experienced home and a little more understanding than some other dogs, but she has so much to give in return. She is loyal, affectionate, intelligent, playful, and full of personality. Once Nea trusts you, she has a wonderful way of showing just how much she cares.

We are not looking for just any home for Nea. We are looking for the right people – experienced, responsible, patient, and willing to understand her as an individual. With the right match, Nea can become a deeply loyal and loving companion and a wonderful part of her family's life.
