Hopeland is a dog sanctuary based in Thessaloniki, near the village of Souroti. It all began with our founder, Natasa Voulgaropoulou, and her enonormous love of animals which made her devote her life to rescuing and caring for animals in need. What started as a one woman journey, has quickly developed into the rescue facility that Hopeland is today. We now have over 80 dogs in our care, and volunteers coming from all over the world to offer their help.

At Hopeland, our mission is to find homes to the unwanted dogs in Greece, since there are so many of them in need of help. We believe in creating the best possible conditions for the dogs while the stay at Hopeland, so that they get all the love and care they deserve, before they find their forever home. Every dog is important.

Since we receive no help from the Greek authorities, we rely solely on donations. It is with the help from people who support Hopeland, that we are able to do the work that we do and create change in the lives of countless dogs.
