Luka

Luka had the misfortune of having to grow up in cruel conditions. For the first five months of his life he was in an animal shelter where the dogs lived in kennels that were far too small - the consequence: many puppies did not survive. In these terrible conditions there was no contact with people. In these formative first months, Luka learned that humans are creatures that they should be afraid of. These experiences haunt him to today.
Luka was lucky enough to be rescued from this shelter and currently lives with his siblings at the Hopeland Animal Shelter. Still, he couldn't completely overcome his fears. Luka is a very insecure, fearful dog who is suspicious of people. But who can blame him? He can now be bribed a bit with treats, but Luka needs a lot of time to gain trust step by step. Through his previous experiences, he has learned that aggressive behavior is more effective in exceptional situations. For this reason, he absolutely needs a family who has a lot of patience and gives him the time he needs and gives him security. You also need experience with fearful dogs in order to be able to correctly assess his behavior.
Our Luka is 50 cm tall and weighs 20 kg.
We hope that our Luka will not be condemned to stay in the animal shelter for the rest of his life because of his fears and will find a loving, understanding home that will be his safe haven.
