Natasa Voulgaropoulou, the founder of Hopeland, is the driving force behind this dog sanctuary located near Thessaloniki, close to the village of Souroti. Her deep love for animals led her to dedicate her life to rescuing and caring for dogs in distress. What started as a personal mission has grown into a full-fledged rescue facility, now providing a home to over 100 dogs, with support from volunteers worldwide.

Hopeland's mission is to find loving homes for the many abandoned dogs across Greece, ensuring they receive the best care and affection during their stay at the sanctuary. What distinguishes Hopeland is its innovative approach: half of the dogs live with volunteers in a home-like environment, experiencing comfort and security for the first time.

However, Hopeland faces a critical challenge. The property where the sanctuary operates is up for sale. Without securing the necessary funds to purchase it, Hopeland and its dogs face an uncertain and challenging future. Natasa, who has devoted her life and resources to this noble cause, now needs our support more than ever.
